Explore North Oxford from The Remont Bed & Breakfast

Remont Hotel Oxford is located in North Oxford, which is a popular area just a short walk from the centre of the city. In North Oxford some of the most popular places for enjoying a good walk and to visit are Summertown and Jericho. Summertown is a lively place offering good shopping, services, sports and leisure facilities and beautiful open countryside. The houses here are charming and the Cherwell River and Oxford Canal run by.

Jericho is located just outside the Oxford city walls and is a highly desirable area, well worth a visit. It is home to Oxford University Press. Jericho is a lively destination, home to an arthouse cinema, restaurants, quirky pubs and late night specialist food shops.
For some relaxation you can visit Port Meadow, which is 350 acres of grassland that borders the Thames and Oxford Canal. At the top of Port Meadow you will find the ruins of the 12th Century Benedictine Godstow Abbey, which was founded by Ediva of Winchester in 1115 and received financial support from Kings Henry I and II. The site, which has changed hands a number of times, including to George Owen, Henry VIII’s physician, and successive Earls of Abingdon, is now owned by Oxford University. In 1949 the ruins were made a site of national historical significance. You can combine a visit to Godstow Abbey with a good walk and then call in at one of the great pubs in nearby Wolvercote.

Remont is the perfect bed and breakfast in Oxford for you to stay at whilst exploring what the beautfiul city of Oxford has to offer.
