As one of the longest running art and craft festivals in the UK, it brings together hundreds of artists in a vast array of artistic disciplines. Artists set up their studios and work in marquees set in the beautiful grounds of Waterperry House near Oxford, offering visitors a rare opportunity to observe the creative process first hand and to speak to the artists. Music, dance and drama is also showcased, with performances from all over the world taking place in the new Waterperry amphitheatre.

Les Clochards will be playing in the idyllic surroundings of the University of Oxford Botanic Garden on the afternoon of Saturday 18 July. It starts at 2pm, admission is just the price of entry to the Garden (£3 I think). Bring a picnic and hope for sunshine – if it rains we’ll be playing in the greenhouse among the chilli plants. Suggestions for flora- and fauna-related tunes most welcome – we’ll start the ball rolling with Love Me Tendril.

This is our last outing before the summer break – thanks to everyone who’s attended our gigs so far this year, it’s been a blast!
